Three schools in the province announced their suspension of classes to prevent students from getting over-exposed amidst the increasing heat index.

The government-run Bohol Island State University (BISU) will suspend their classes starting Monday until further notice depending on the heat index prevailing in the province.

The school’s faculty will be working from home following an online attendance system, according to Dr. Anthony Penaso, BISU president.  A skeletal force will run the school’s administrative offices.

Meanwhile, Booy Elementary School adopted a Blended Learning Modality starting last Thursday. Face-to-face classes are in the morning while the afternoon session will be on modular learning.

Holy Spirit School announced the suspension of classes for three days, April 8-10.

The Department of Education has given school principals to decide on whether to remain having face-to-face classes or adopt a blended-learning module.
