Another man allegedly involved drug activities was shot to death by an unidentified gunman in Tagbilaran City early this morning, July 21, 2016.

The victim, 37-year-old Zoilo Garcia III, a resident of B. Inting cor. Tamblot, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in various parts of his body causing his instantaneous death.

Garcia was taken to the hospital by a neighbor but was declared dead on arrival.

According to Supt. George Vale, Tagbilaran City police chief, Garcia had a heated argument with an unidentified person before he was gunned down at around 12:30am but there have been no witnesses who were able to identify the suspect.

Vale said that the police are currently considering several angles in Garcia’s killing.

Although the victim is a known drug personality in the city, authorities are not solely eyeing the drug angle in Garcia’s death.

In their investigation, the authorities are looking into Garcia’s movements the previous night including people who might have seen him before he was killed.

The slaying of Garcia was the fourth Bohol drug personality killing in less than a week.

Since July 14, 2016, three other drug personalities were gunned down by unidentified suspects in the towns of Guindulman, Valencia, and Sagbayan. (with reports from Allen Doydora)
