Thirty years after Ghostbusters took the world by storm, the beloved supernatural comedy makes its long-awaited return in a reboot with new cast of hilarious characters ready to save the world.

Everybody knows that there’s no such thing as ghosts, but paranormal researcher Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy-“Bridemaids”) and physicist Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig-“Knocked Up”) are trying to prove that ghosts are real and they even exist in modern society.

When more than a thousand ghosts descend on Times Square and invade Manhattan, Gilbert and Yates team up with a brilliant nuclear engineer, Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), to build a ghost busting machine. Together with subway worker Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones) who knows the city inside and out, the ghostbusters prepare for an epic battle against the mischievous ghosts and a mysterious, powerful demon (Neil Casey) who can exercise control over human forms.
