Another self-confessed pusher who previously vowed before authorities to end illegal drugs involvement was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Batuan Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Suspect Josephus Almerol, 23 and a resident of Barangay Poblacion Norte of said town, was immediately collared after a drug transaction with an undercover cop.
Police and supporting Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency authorities led by P/Insp. Narciso Laruga recovered two packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia during the operation.
According to Batuan police, the suspect was included in their watch list of drug personalities.
Last week, Almerol along with more than a hundred drug users and pushers in the town surrendered to authorities and vowed to cut involvement in illegal activities.
The self-confessed pusher, however, allegedly continued to deal drugs, police said.
Police across the province had previously vowed to go after users and pushers who continue to engage in illegal activities through various anti-illegal drugs operations.
Charges against the suspect are filed today at the fiscal’s office. (Allen Doydora)
