A total of 28, 115 drug personalities have surrendered to authorities across the province since the implementation of Oplan Tokhang until July 21, 2016.

During the period, a staggering 26,941 reisdents of various Bohol towns identified themselves as drug users while 1,174 admitted to dealing drugs.

Based on police data, 10 drug personalities were killed by police after the suspects reportedly attempted to fight off operatives.

From July 1 until July 21, 2016, 10 drug personalities who have yielded to police and vowed to end illegal drugs involvement have been captured through various raids and operations after being reported to have continued drug peddling and use.

According to police authorities, they were able to seize 90.05 grams of shabu estimated to be worth P1,062,590 during the said period.

Meanwhile, most areas in Bohol are reportedly being operated in by drug pesonalities as 1,082 barangays out of 1,109 in the province, based on police data, are affected by drug activities. (Willy Maestrado)
