A mother who was deeply bothered by the strange behavior of her fourteen year old son led to the arrest of three persons peddling pornographic digital video discs (DVD) and compact discs (CD’s).

Describing her son’s actions as resembling a “sex maniac” went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) – Bohol to report her suspicions that her son was hooked on sex videos sold openly along the sidewalks of Tagbilaran City.

The NBI immediately mounted an operation led by Atty. Arcelito Albao, Executive Officer and successfully seized sex videos sold along sidewalks with heavy foot traffic.

Collared by the NBI were Ninorly Macaindig, 29, resident of Muslim Village in Barangay Taloto, Kim Putong, 18 yrs old of Matig-a St. and a 17 yr. old residing in CPG Ave.

Based on the inventory of the NBI, 623 pirated pornographic DVD/CD’s were seized sold right across Plaza Marcela, Pamaong St., Barangay Cogon, right beside Unitop along CPG Ave. and around the vicinity of the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) and Island City Mall in Barangay Barangay Dao.

Charges for violation of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code (Immoral Doctrines and Obscene Publications and RA 9239 known as the Optical Media Act of 2003 are now being prepared by the NBI against the three alleged offenders who are now detained at the NBI lock-up cell.
