Police on Tuesday recovered gadgets and equipment stolen from the Mansasa Elementary School at the house of a minor who is a noted thief in Tagbilaran City.
The Tagbilaran City Police Office’s (TCPO) theft and robbery section found the stolen items including two laptops and a microscope at the suspect’s house near the New Capitol Site in Barangay Cogon.
In a report, police said that elements of the TCPO led by Sr. Insp. Erano Regidor recovered the items as they followed up on a report indicating that the suspects were seen carrying the items.
The laptops and microscopes were found at the house of Jomarie Gorne who allegedly stole the items with one alias “Mamar,” police added.
The items were reportedly returned by Gorne’s mother who claimed to have no knowledge on the suspects’ illegal activities.
However, both Gorne and Mamar were not around when authorities claimed the stolen items.
According to Lorelie Anore, Mansasa Elementary School principal, the laptops and microscope went missing on August 21.
They immediately reported the burglary incident to the TCPO which in turn tasked its theft and robbery section to investigate. (WM).
