A businessman who was a son of a municipal councilor in Ubay was shot dead by two unidentified gunmen at 9:45 p.m. on Monday at Purok 1, Sitio Son-ok of said town.
PO2 Emar Tecson, Ubay Police Station investigator, identified the victim as Ronald Bacolod, 33, son of Ubay Councilor Bebot Bacolod.
The younger Bacolod who was a fish dealer reportedly sustained six gunshot wounds in various parts of his body after the two assailants shot at him right outside his house.

According to Tecson, the suspects were riding a motorcycle during the shooting and were both wearing jackets and had cloths to cover their faces based on initial investigation.

Ronald was still rushed to the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay but was declared dead on arrival.
Information gathered by authorities indicated that Ronald was in a drinking session with his father at a fish port in the town prior to the shooting incident.
Tecson noted that they are still facing a blank wall as to the motive behind the killing of Ronald.
Follow-up investigations are still being conducted while police have also yet to determine what type of caliber pistols were used to kill the victim, Tecson added. (Rey Tutas)
