The Ubay police is now considering the fatal shooting of a businessman on October 30 right outside his house in Purok 1 of Sitio Son-ok of said town as a “crime of passion.”
Ubay police investigator PO2 Emar Tecson told the Chronicle on Tuesday that victim Ronald Bacolod, son of town councilor Bebot Bacolod, may have been involved in a “love triangle.”
Police have also already pinpointed a suspect, said Tecson.
However, the police officer did not divulge further information on the younger Bacolod’s purported involvement in a love triangle and the suspect’s identity as a deep probe into the case continued.

The victim had no known business-related conflicts and had no prior records with the police including involvement in illegal drug activities, Tecson said.
Ronald was shot dead by two motorcycle-riding gunmen on October 30 after he left from a drinking session with Bebot at a fish port in Ubay.
He was still rushed to the Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. (Allen Doydora)
