One of the oldest educational institutions here in Bohol, Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School (DCPNHS), formerly the Bohol High School, Bohol Provincial High School, and Bohol National High School, marks another milestone celebrating its 110th Anniversary, highlighted by the much-awaited Grand Alumni Homecoming tomorrow, July 27, with a Gala Night at the Bohol Cultural Center in the evening, featuring party band CenterStage.

Mrs. Fiel Angeli Araoarao-Gabin, the Overall Coordinator of  the 110th Anniversary Grand Alumni Homecoming of DCPNHS, said all is set for tomorrow’s biggest gathering of all alumni coming from the different years and batches. She added that hundreds are expected to pay tribute to their dear alma mater and participate in the said alumni homecoming which coincides with the Tigum Bol-anon Tibouk Kalibotan (TBTK) 2015.

Tomorrow at 7 AM, there is a registration of participants at the Gabaldon Building, at DCPNHS; followed by a Holy Mass at 8 AM, at the school gym; and motorcade at 9 AM. Then, there is a tribute to all retired principals and teachers at 9:45 AM; and a basketball and volleyball exhibition games between teachers and students against the alumni, 2 PM, at the CPG Sports Complex.

At 6:30 PM, is the Fellowship Night with Bohol’s best party band, CenterStage, in a concert party that encourages all alumni to sing and party with the band, especially during the live karaoke portion. Other activities of the night are Dress Up/Black Tie event, a fashion show with the former beauty queens, Alumni King & Queen, and more.

This afternoon, the Bohol High alumni will participate in the Sandugo Streetdancing with its own float; while yesterday was the Fun Run from Island City Mall going to DCPNHS.Other weeklong activities are cultural show last Monday, July 20, at the Bohol Cultural Center; earthquake drills at DCPNHS last Thursday and Friday, July 23 and 24, and more.

Over the years, the school has produced a number of graduates, including highly respectable and competent servant-leaders who have proven their worth in our society, in different parts of the country and even abroad.
