2 men stabbed in drunken brawl in Carmen

Two men landed in the in the hospital after they were stabbed in a drunken brawl with a male suspect in Barangay Bicao in Carmen on Tuesday evening.

Police said that Arvin Sarong, 27, and Gerry Ajero, 21, both residents of said village, were in a drinking session with suspect Peterno Baugbog, 47, when the stabbing happened.

The three reportedly engaged in a heated argument which escalated into a brawl. Baugbog then took a knife and stabbed and slashed Sarong and Ajero, according to a police report.

Both victims sustained multiple stab and slash wounds and were rushed to a hospital where they continue to recuperate.

Sarong suffered wounds in his chest and right shoulder while Sajero was stabbed in his back and arms.

Meanwhile, Baugbog fled towards an unknown direction but was arrested by police who immediately launched a hot pursuit against the suspect.

Prior to the incident, Sarong, Ajero and Baugbog harvested rice and had dinner together, police said. (Allen Doydora)
